Garen: Pros & Cons

Garen: Pros & Cons

List of Pros & Cons on Garen
Pros
- Garen is a heavy tank and lane bully on most melee champions!
- Garen is very good at diving tower during ganks and he can split pusher very decently!
- Courage absorbs 30% damage from all sources, regardless of damage type except True Damage!
- Demacian Justice Provides a secured attempt at a kill because it cannot be canceled or put on cooldown by any source!
- Perseverance gives 10% maximum health regen per 5 seconds at level 16 when not in combat with a 4-second cooldown.
- Judgment now has an Armor shred component which, when paired with The Black Cleaver, will potentially shred 55% of enemies total armor when hit with 4 ticks of Garen's Judgment and 6 instances of physical damage from Garen!
- One of the stronger late-game tank, thanks to his kit and the new "Villain" mechanic!
- Garen is not using any resources such as mana, he is only limited by his cooldown!
- Garen will be able to keep up with your opponent in the top lane without falling behind!
- Garen can easily soak up damage from spells & ultimate and still be healthy enough to do some damage!
- Garen survivability is too overpowered, he just needs to run away and joining back to the fight later, reduce the trip back to base!

Cons
- Sadly, Garen's only mobility is his Decisive Strike and pretty long cooldown after use.
- Garen is countered by ranged champions like Vayne, Teemo, and Gnar during the early and mid game.
- Garen's kit lacks crowd control except for silence from his Q, it is good but not good enough.
- Kill potential is not the same on all targets due to the new "Villain" mechanic.
- Being mana less means many of the tank items are not gold efficient on Garen.
- Although Garen has great stats, he needs early-mid game kills to be effective late game.
- And while he has to go get kills, all his moves are for near melee range.
- Garen's cooldown is high, while they don't seem high in numbers, they will show in the game.
- Garen's ultimate is also harder than it looks to use, dealing as magic damage and no magic penetration on Garen.

Judgment can critically strike, dealing 50% AD × (1 + bonus critical strike damage) increased damage. Enemy champions hit 4 times have their armor reduced by 25% for 6 seconds. Hits after the 4th refresh the duration of the debuff. After 1 second, Garen can reactivate Judgment to cancel it immediately, reducing its cooldown by its remaining duration.
Range: 325

List of Abilities on Kindred
Mark of the Kindred (Passive)
Description: Both Lamb and Wolf mark targets to hunt. Scoring a takedown on a marked target permanently empowers Lamb's basic attacks to deal 1.25% of her target's current health as bonus on-hit physical damage, capped at 75 + 10 per stack against monsters, stacking with each Mark consumed.

Lamb: Lamb is offered a selection of champions to take down, which is hidden while in combat with an enemy champion. Once selected, there's an 8 seconds delay before the Mark can be collected, and Lamb can change her target if the target hasn't died during a period of time. Targets successfully hunted cannot be targeted again for some minutes.

Wolf: Starting at 2:30, Wolf periodically selects a monster camp within the enemy's jungle based on Lamb's current Marks for 180 seconds, and selects another one 50 seconds after killing a marked monster.

#0: Rift Scuttler
#1-3: Rift Scuttler, Crimson Raptor, Gromp
#4-7: Ancient Krug, Blue Sentinel, Greater Murk Wolf, or Red Brambleback
#8+: Rift Herald or Baron Nashor, Dragon or Elder Dragon

The marked camp is highlighted on the minimap to both teams. The mark is removed upon the monster camp's death even if Kindred are not involved.
Static Cooldown: 25 (Upon marked monster camp's death, even if Kindred are not involved) / 75 (Upon selecting/changing target)
Per-target Cooldown: 240

Additional Information
- Mark of the Kindred's passive is an on-hit effect.
- Mark of the Kindred's active is a global, unit-targeted ability.
- Does not apply spell effects.

Dance of Arrows (Q)
Description: Lamb dashes in the target direction and fires up to three homing arrows on arrival upon the three nearest targets, dealing physical damage to each. Lamb's current attack target at any proximity will be prioritized by one of the arrows. Dance of Arrows resets Lamb's auto attack timer. Casting Wolf's Frenzy or dashing while inside its area of effect will reduce Dance of Arrows cooldown.

Ruins: Walkthrough Guide

Ruins: Walkthrough Guide

Area 1: The Jungle
1. You begin facing a stone door which is sealed tight.
- Note how one of the brown vines looks like an arrow pointing to one stone in particular.
2. Turn right to see a tall stone obelisk with an interesting design.
- In the bushes just to the left of the obelisk is a something interesting and get the STONE HEAD.
- Make some notes about the design on the obelisk as that seems significant.
3. Turn left twice to see an arrangement of rocks in three towers.
- Something interesting is sticking out of the bush on the left side of the screen, next to the tree trunks and grab the STICK.
- Before going, take a good count of how many rocks are in each tower.
4. Turn left again to face a couple of archways over the path.
- On the roof of the first archway is something interesting.
- Using the STICK, get the object from the roof which is a CROWBAR.
5. Go forward through the archways to see a monument out in the water.
- Use the STONE HEAD on the empty space of the pole to your left, this causes the stepping stones to rise up out of the water.
6. Move forward to get a closer look at the monument.
- The pattern here should look familiar to you, a pattern of three columns with five positions each.
- Slide each disc up the column to its proper position:
- Use the clue from the rock towers:
x o x
x x o
o x x
- When correct, the panel slides open and you can get a BLUE JEWEL
- Notice the notch and three downward pointing arrows on the back panel?
- Using a swiping motion on your touch screen, slide that back panel downwards to reveal what's behind it.
- It is a stone DISK (1/3). Take it.
7. Back up twice then turn left twice to face the doorway of the monolithic building:
- Use the CROWBAR on the stone on the right of the doorway, where the vine arrow points.
- Then, put the BLUE JEWEL in the inset that was behind that stone.
- This causes the doorway to open and you can go in.

Area 2: Inside the Monolith
1. When you first enter the monolith, notice that design on the wall in between two doorways. It matches the markings you saw on the obelisk in the jungle.
- This next segment is a maze, the obelisk outside shows you when to take the left doorway or right doorway.
- The solution is starting at the entrance, move forward as follows:
LEFT
LEFT
LEFT
RIGHT
RIGHT
LEFT
RIGHT
- If you've taken the correct path, you'll come to the end of the hallways to see another door with inserts for three stone disks.
- You still need two more stone disks.
2. Turn left and you'll see a hexagonal panel on the wall, at the end of a veranda.
- At the bottom-left corner of the screen, by the base of the column, is another STONE DISK (2/3). Pick it up.
- Now examine the hexagonal panel.
- Using a swiping motion, slide the panel up to see what's behind it:
- This is a clue. Take note of the shapes, the directions they're pointing, and the number of dots on each.
3. Back up and turn right twice to view the other end of the veranda: a sun-shaped design in the wall.
- Examine the sun-shaped design and you'll notice you can push the arrows that circle the design and they'll light up.
- Using the clue you saw earlier, activate each arrow in the correct order.
- The solution is by clicking the arrows in this order (as if on a compass):
NORTHEAST
SOUTHWEST
NORTHWEST
SOUTH
NORTH
SOUTHEAST
- When you've lit up the arrows in the proper order, the center of the design will pop open and you can see the last STONE DISK (3/3).
- However, you'll need to use the CROWBAR to pry it loose.
4. Back up and turn left. Move forward to examine the door with the three empty circles:
- Now you need to arrange the 3 STONE DISKS in the proper order on the door.
- Use the design above the door as your clue.
Stone Disk Pictorial Guide on Ruins

- With the disks in the proper arrangement, the door slides open and you can walk through.

Area 3: Mysterious Grounds
1. When you first enter this third area, you'll see another obelisk with an interesting image on it.
- Take a note of the number of dots on the left and right sides of the obelisk.
2. Turn left. Here's a man who looks rather dejected.
- If you click on him, he just grunts and looks down again. Perhaps he needs something to cheer him up and he'll be more helpful?
3. Turn right twice. There's an entrance to a tunnel here.
- Notice the red flower bud in the bottom right corner of your screen? There's also something written on the stone above it...make a note of that information.
4. Click on the doorway to enter the tunnel. On the wall in front of you is a square with four individual squares inside it.
- When you examine each square, you find that clicking on each will change its design. Keep note of that while you look around for more clues.
5. Currently, the left path is blocked by vines so you can only go right. So, turn right.
- Here is a big circle on the wall with four directional arrows and a smaller circle cut-out on it.
- Move the circle cut-out around until you've found two different pictures underneath.
- The bottom one looks like a snowman. The top one looks like a square curling into itself.
- There's a rock in the bottom right corner. Click on it to move it, then grab the MACHETE KNIFE.
6. Turn left to return to the center path.
- Use the MACHETE to cut down the vines.
7. With the left path cleared, you can now go that direction, so turn left. Here's another circle in the wall but this one is moving on its own.
- Take note of the two pictures that are revealed as the circle cut-out goes around.
- The bottom looks like a star. The top looks like a screw-head.
- Notice that the stone in the wall on the left looks different than the rest of the wall?
- Use the CROWBAR on it to pry it off and find what's behind it.
- Get the folded BLANKET.
8. Turn right to examine the square pictures in the main pathway:
- Use the clues you saw down each tunnel to solve this puzzle.
- Keep in mind that, depending on which path you stood in, the clues are orientated differently in relation to the center path.
- The solution is the left path represents the two images on the left side of the square. The right path represents the two images on the right. So, arrange the pictures like this:
Top-Left: SCREW HEAD
Top-Right: CURLING SQUARE
Bottom-Left: STAR
Bottom-Right: SNOWMAN
Square Puzzle Pictorial Guide on Ruins

- When each picture is correct, the panel pops open.
- Notice there is a spot for something round and also another square panel behind this one.
- It appears there is nothing else you can do here for now, though.
9. Back up twice to where the flower bud is.
- Use the BLANKET on the flower bud.
- Wait a bit.
- Use the MACHETE on the blanket to remove it.
- Take the RED ORB from the flower.
10. Go back into the tunnel.
- Click on the squares panel to open it again.
- Place the RED ORB on the round spot.
- The panel will open to reveal a LOLLYPOP. Take it.
- Grab the RED ORB again. It's probably best to hang on to this.
11. Return to the dejected man.
- Give him the LOLLYPOP and he'll be so happy, he'll clear the way for you.
- Go forward.

Area 4: The Ship
1. When you first enter this last area, you'll be at the crossroads three paths.
- It's hard to see, but on the right side, partially obscured by the back pillar, there is something useful.
- Get the LADDER!
2. Go forward and you'll see it: the spaceship.
- Lean the LADDER against the tree on the left side of the ship.
3. Climb up to look inside the ship.
- Remember the design on the obelisk you saw when you first entered area 3?
- Press the buttons on either side of the window until ALL are lit EXCEPT the middle button on the left.
- Three daisies will come down. Looks like they each could hold an orb.
- Let's look for two more orbs.
4. Back up twice and turn right. Here you see a headless statue as well as a tree with a statue head in it.
- Note the positions of the arms on the statue.
5. Turn left twice and you'll see another statue; this one has its arms bound up.
- There is something blue in the bushes in the left corner of the screen.
- Get the BLUE ORB.
- Use the MACHETE to cut the ropes off the statue.
- Now arrange the arms to match those of the first statue.
- Nothing happened? Better go back and re-check the headless statue.
6. Turn right twice to face the headless statue again.
- If you arranged the arms of the other statue, then you'll see something in the mouth of the head on the tree.
- Now get the YELLOW ORB.
7.Turn left, go forward, and re-enter the spaceship.
- Now you have three orbs, you only need to know where to place each color. The answer is right in front of you!
- Blue on the left, yellow in the center and red on the right.*
*Colorblind Instructions*
- The orb on the left side of your inventory goes in the middle dais. The orb in the middle square of your inventory goes on the left dais. That leaves the orb on the right side of your inventory: it goes on the right dais.
8. With all the colors in the proper place, your pilot appears. Click on him to take a ride. Yay-haw!

1010! Puzzle: Tips & Tricks #2

1010! Puzzle: Tips & Tricks #2

Tips & Tricks #2 on 1010! Puzzle
#1 Start in the corners!
The corners are the worst part of the game as it can trap you early on. I always like to start off in a corner rather than dead right in the center. This will give you more of a direction path and allow you to avoid being cornered. Building around the corners will give you both vertical and horizontal options on any given move. Especially you get 2x2 and 3x3 square which gives you more options to think for the best build paths. Or getting the big L-shape can be awkward at times. You do not want the big L-shape to place in a such a way that it create holes. Putting it near the corners will hasten your decision making.

#2 Fill in the holes or spaces!
At times, a lone purple block will come to you and you will feel like you are on top of the world. Rather than placing it anywhere, it is best to use these as hole fillers if there are any single space gaps or rows to remove. Yes! This is one of the more important tricks you should implement in every game. It matters a lot for the next 3-6 steps. Remember this game is about removing as many lines as possible. Filling up the holes which help you clear 3-4 lines in the next 3-6 steps can be really critical. Do not underestimate this trick! Always place the 1x1 at the most potential line to get cleared in the next few steps.

#3 Work with the most difficult block first!
When you've got lots of space it's tempting to just dump their pieces into the game to get things moving. Don't do this. Every block counts! Instead when you're given three blocks at a time, all of the different shapes. Be sure to consider where to play the larger or more complex shape block, especially when your 1010! board begins to look busy. The reason behind is simple, if you managed to settle the most irregular shapes like big L-shape or 5x1 line first, the next 2 pieces should not be an issue. Therefore be creative in line removing!

#4 Explore in ways you can clear multiple lines!
Experiment and look for ways to clear multiple lines both vertically and horizontally at the same time! For me, I like to build vertically and horizontally and leaving either 3x3 or 2x2 square empty. When you get the pieces you need, free the spaces! If you managed to pull this off, you should free 3 vertical columns and 3 horizontal rows immediately for 3x3 square. 2 by 2 columns and rows for 2x2 square. This is one of my favorite ways to clear lines when my board is not filled with holes and spaces. Do not be afraid to explore other methods, clearly, multiple lines is a sure way for you to last longer.

#5 Keep playing and don't stop!
Yes, this may sound like a no-brainer of a tip, but when it comes to 1010! the secret to success, and arguably the most important tip to remember, is to practice regularly. You might have all the strategy in the world, but if you don't have a bit of luck, you won't get too far neither. So don't let yourself get discouraged by a poor game and keep on playing having our tips in mind. Restart your game and learn from your mistakes. Soon you'll be racking up high scores, eventually, you will surely get a super high score to be proud of!

1010! Puzzle: Tips & Tricks #1

1010! Puzzle: Tips & Tricks #1

Tips & Tricks #1 on 1010! Puzzle
#1 Create rows and columns alike!
It took me a while to realize that I don't have to go for horizontal lines only, so if you didn't get there, let me make things a lot easier for you: you can also create vertical lines! Don't stick to creating vertical lines alone, or merely horizontal lines. Find ways you can actually make both, and this is one of the simpler tips you can implement to beat your original high score and move on to much greater things. Look at how each piece can affect the board in horizontal and vertical ways.

#2 Don't fear to have irregular patterns!
Your first instinct may be to work on one row or column at a time, but some have said that it's better to take it easy and have the board loaded with pieces forming irregular patterns. Meanwhile waiting for the right time to remove more than one row or column. The truth is it is best to play the game with irregular and size patterns than having a clean rectangular block. This is because the pieces you are given are in different shapes too. Don't limit yourself to only one playstyle.

#3 Remove lines first, blocks fitting second!
At first, I was trying to make blocks fit together nicely and try to go for that massive row and column removal. WRONG! For each set of blocks you are given, always look to take out a single row or column. Don't worry if it doesn't look like the best fit because it will remove the entire line of blocks anyways, which will open things up for you. Space is key! Don't leave an unfilled line because you think you can get it later. The game is working against you.

#4 Always make space for the 3X3 block!
There is an evil shape with a 3×3 set of blocks. This is typically considered the game killer because once your board fills up and you haven't make space for this block, well, it's game over. The square piece can be a real nuisance to deal with. That's why you need to leave at least one empty spot on your board to accommodate the 3 x 3 square; two spots would be better, but as long as you're prepared for the arrival of that piece, you should be good. If you have a 3X3 in your set of moves, then carefully think about how you will open up space for it.

#5 Plan ahead and prepare for the worst
The game won't deliver new blocks until you've used a set of three. And many a promising game has ended by accident because you forgot to use that awkward L-shape first. Or most of the times I get crushed because I have no place to put that last piece. Lesson learned. Consider the order of all three options before moving the pieces. Think of all the possibilities before making your move. Once you placed it on the board, it is finalized. No undoing or backtrack your steps, therefore plan well ahead.
