Game Review
An attempted assassination of the King has led to the death of Whitney; one of the Kurestal Knights from the previous tournament. Sacrificing his life in order to protect the king. A new league is announced, in search of a worthy person to take up the role as a Kurestal Knight.

The King's League: Odyssey is a follow up to our simulation strategy game from 2011, The King's League. For anyone who has played the original, you will find the gameplay familiar and straightforward. You'll still need to recruit and train heroes from across the land, capturing territories and completing quests to fund yourselves. Same as before, your ultimate goal is to work your way upwards from the humble Hamlet Tourney till the King’s League.

This time round, The King’s League: Odyssey offers an upgraded league experience. Firstly, the improvements in the visuals and interface. Units are given a shiny new look and everything else especially the interface is well organized and neat. And now, managing and recruiting heroes are much easier and overall nicer experience for players. Training now require training points, not food or gold anymore; I would say is a better system for those of us who are trying for a speedrun. Next, there are more options now for questing and upgrading. This created a lot more possibilities and outcomes for the game.

In my opinion, I would say The King's League: Odyssey now focuses more on character building instead of waiting for the clock to tick down. Even if so, the game has one of the best soundtracks I've ever heard. The creator of the game definitely picked good music for this one. I thoroughly enjoyed this game, not even a second wasted! I hope there are plans for a third league in the future. ^^

Build 2 Berserkers, 2 Snipers and Assassin
This is my victorious build. To be honest, Berserker role is mainly about tanking damage and do some early damage as soon as they charge forward. On the other hand, Assassin will dodge his way through to slain any weak enemies in his way with its critical attacks. Snipers are the ones staying at the back, doing tons of damage especially with its Dual Shot!

Build 2 Bishops and 3 Assassins
This setup is another one of my favourite! Bishops' healing are so overpowering, it makes your assassins almost invincible. These untouchable fellows will just slice and dice through enemies in their path. Critical, critical and more critical! Totally worth give this build a try.

Build 5 Unique Characters; Berserker, Sniper, Cleric, Hero, and Assassin
Berserkers are extremely aggressive attackers, they can deal and absorb damage well. Sniper occasionally take units out in one shot. Clerics do what they do best, healing. Lots of healing! Hero and Assassin defend well against ranged units, they do superb damage and clean up any weak opponent fast. Generally, the most ideal build! :)

    1. For Berserker, you need to advance from Warrior to Spearman then to Berserker. Same thing for Sniper too, start from Archer to Ranger then to Sniper. You can read the guide above again, I've just added the different advancement pathways under 'List of Units'. Go check it out! :D
